An in-depth examination reveals the complex chemistry behind air pollutants and their impacts on human health and the environment. It scrutinizes pollutant sources, atmospheric transformations, and key agents like particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and volatile organic compounds while evaluating control strategies and policies.
