Approximately 50 percent of all imaging tests are plain chest radiographs, and many radiology residents and many practicing radiologists claim that the plain chest radiograph is one of the most difficult imaging studies to interpret. Chest Radiology is based on Dr. Collin's award-wining syllabus that she uses for the chest radiology course that she teaches to radiology residents at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Collins has received many requests from faculty members from other departments of radiology to use the syllabus in the courses that they teach. The book focuses on the plain chest radiograph and covers all appropriate imaging modalities. The book begins with an illustrated discussion of chest anatomy and normal radiographic anatomy of the chest and then moves on to cover the radiographic approach and radiographic manifestation of a wide variety of chest diseases. The book includes many summary tables and may include chapter objectives.
