Liu is a representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Wuhan dough figurines in China, a standing director of both the Hubei Arts and Crafts Association and the Wuhan Arts and Crafts Association, a director of the Wuhan Folk Literature and Art Association, and a member of the China Arts and Crafts Association.
