Due to so many environmental, physical and chemical instability constrain it becomes challenging to develop such a drug delivery system for stabilized release of vitamin C.This book focuses on the microencapsulation of Vitamin C using a biodegradable biopolymer to increase its retention time within the body, control its release as well as to modify its physical properties for easier handling. The microspeheres formulated were characterized for various parameters like their percentage yield, morphology, particle size, swelling index, encapsulation efficiency and in vitro drug release rate.

Anushree Kumar est un jeune chercheur dans le domaine de la biotechnologie. Elle a obtenu une maîtrise de technologie en biotechnologie à l'université Thapar de Patiala (Inde). Expérience professionnelle dans l'industrie et les instituts de recherche dans ce domaine. Il poursuit actuellement un doctorat en biotechnologie.
