Chris Sutton has had an incredible journey! Beginning her career as a teacher, she advanced to become a school principal and later an eLearning Consultant for Primary and Secondary Schools in NSW. In the 1970s, she published her first picture book. Moving to Queensland in 1999 she extended her career in eLearning as an advisor to Tertiary education, founding eLearningAustralia.com.au in 2004. After selling the company in 2004 and retiring to Beachmere, she returned to university studies, earning a Diploma of Family History and furthering her passion for writing and publishing, quilting and fabric arts. In 2020, Chris founded MC Sutton Publications to publish her books and support emerging authors in her local area. Over the past four years, Chris has published a series of Family History books for beginner genealogists, two cookbooks, and a quilting guide for older quilters and people facing physical barriers to quilting. She has also edited and published a series of three Beachmere history books by Karen Wallwork, along with autobiographies by four local writers. Chris lives in a Beachmere retirement village with her partner and their lively Australian Labradoodle, Tiger Woods.
