The study examined the Pastoral Caregiver's Intervention for Reducing the Influence of Matrilineal Family Practices on Christian Marriage in Ashanti - Ghana. There are some misconceptions regarding matrilineal practices and marriage sustainability in Ashanti- Ghana; equity/equality, parental care, property, headship/leadership, democratic, fear and the outcome of this research will contribute toward addressing the misconceptions. The study discussed Overview of Matrilineal Family System, Biblical Perspective of Family, Marriage Sustainability in Ashanti- Ghana, Pastoral Care Function as Tool for Interventions, and Previous Studies on Matrilineal Family System.
