Christmas Is A 'Coming, gives the reader a peek through the misty window of memory into my family's past, the way we were in the 1950's and how we celebrated Christmas. It is surely a mirror of the times and lives of many other families as well. In those days, Christmas time was a magical season when children's stockings might hold an orange and walnuts in their shells. Or, perhaps you received the little homespun box of Whitman's sampler chocolates. Maybe a tin of chocolate straws, or possibly red anise flavored candies found its way to your stash. If you were really lucky, there would be a box of chocolate covered cherry cordials, or ribbon candy with your gifts. Whatever it was, however you celebrated, I hope my stories will help you recall those Christmases past that were filled with suspense, anticipation hope, promise and love.
