This book deals with cinema as a means of promoting Cameroon's history and its figures. The main concern here is to identify the different approaches available to cinema in order to offer a more dynamic rewriting of the history of Cameroon's figures. Based on the analysis that Cameroon's history is still in its infancy in the cinema, this research follows an approach rooted in data collection and analysis and follows the principles of a theoretical framework centred on three design techniques, namely techniques for democratising history, techniques for artistic creation and techniques for documentary film-making. It first explores the possibilities offered by cinema for promoting history, then examines the relationships between these disciplines and, finally, proposes a practical approach to promoting the history of a historical figure.
