Detective Callahan is sent on a mission to find the one man who might have an answer to North America's rising temperatures. Will she find him in time? Unlikely forces come to her aid as she journeys from the mythical and the scientific to get her answer. If Bernadette gets through the madness of the governments falling apart and uprisings in the population, she'll find a clue to stop the acceleration of the earth's climate. Her search will lead her to the Lakes of Nicaragua, an undersea lab off Florida's coast and the darkness of the High Arctic. She finds herself one step behind another force--is there someone inside the FBI or the government that is leaking information and trying to stop her? This is the third novel in the Bernadette Callahan Detective Series. This portrays a female detective in Canada's national police force, The RCMP, who fights crime on her own terms. If you like fast action, with a twist of humour, you will enjoy this series!
