Rajan Bhatt, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Soil Science Punjab Agricultural University, India. He has years of research experience in enhancing farmers' livelihoods, in enhancing sugarcane crop growth and yield, and insect-pest management. He has handled several research projects and is a regular reviewer and editorial board member for several journals. He has authored many scientific research papers, research bulletins, books, book chapters, and extension articles and has attended several technical and plenary sessions. Dr. Bhatt has been honored with several awards for his work. Krishan K. Verma, PhD, is a Foreign Expert at the Sugarcane Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. His research focuses on environmental toxicology, bioengineering modeling, plant physiology, molecular biology and its impacts on growth, and physiological and molecular adaptation strategies of plants to stressful environments. He has published many scientific research articles as well as books and book chapters. He has recieved several awards for his work. Shiv Prasad, PhD, is a Principal Scientist and has 25 years of experience in agricultural research and development at the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India, where he is actively involved in teaching and research guidance. Dr. Prasad has made many contributions to the recycling of biomass waste, conversion of resources, biofuel technology development, sustainable utilization of agricultural crop residues, etc. He has published research and review articles, authored books, book chapters, and a training and analytical lab manual. He has received several awards and honors for his work. Mauro Wagner de Oliveira, PhD, is Professor of Soil Fertility and Mineral Nutrition of Plants at the Campus of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences of the Federal University of Alagoas, Brazil. He has been working in the field of soil fertility and plant nutrition in Brazil. He has evaluated varieties of sugarcane RB867515 and RB92579 in the cane-plant cycle as a function of magnesium doses applied at the bottom of the planting furrow. Dr. de Oliveira has published over 80 research articles as well as books, book chapters, and conference papers.
