A two-year (2020 to 2022) research conducted at Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh, India) in IRS farm of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Science to assess the yield response factor, water use efficiency, Water footprint and economics of mustard (Varuna T-59) as influenced by climatological approaches of irrigation scheduling. The experiment was plotted in random block design. This research work included five treatments with three replications. Under the climatological approach, irrigation is scheduled at five values of IW/CPE ratio i.e. 1.75 IW/CPE ratio (T1), 1.5 IW/CPE ratio (T2), 1 IW/CPE ratio (T3), 0.75 IW/CPE ratio (T4), and 0.5 IW/CPE ratio (T5). Under climatological method of irrigation scheduling, maximum growth parameters and yield attributes i.e., 1000 seed-weigh (5.3g), stover yield (7 t/ha), biological yield (9.3 t/ ha), grain yield (2.2 t/ha) and harvest Index (24.3 %) were found superior at 1.0 IW/CPE ratio with 240 mm depth of water. Maximum irrigation production efficiency 0.972 kg/m3 with 240 mm depth of water at 1.0 IW/CPE ratio was recorded. Maximum yield response factor (Ky) 1.56 and water footprint i.e., 2297.42 l/kg at 1.75 IW/CPE ratio .
