Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Amtrak's Colfax Station is in Colfax, California. It is unstaffed. The station was built in 1905 by Southern Pacific Railroad and was restored in the early 21st Century. The platforms are movable to accommodate Union Pacific rotary snowplows, which are liable to scrape a platform 8 inches above top of rail. In FY2010 Colfax was the 69th-busiest of Amtrak's 73 California stations, boarding or detraining an average of about 12 passengers daily.
