A successful, 'forty something'-year-old professional embarks on a long overdue journey back to Norfolk Island - her birthplace and spiritual home. Sailing solo, as she did decades ago, she wrestles not only with the sea but with her regrets as well. Clinging to hopes, memories, and a powerful connection with one man, she pushes beyond the limits of human endurance and doggedly sails onwards - to a new life, back on the island she loves.

Guy was born in Melbourne but, as the son of a soldier, grew up in various places in Australia and the United States of America. He joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 1980 and flew as an operational pilot and Flying Instructor until 1990, when he joined Australian Airlines and then Qantas Airways in 1994. Guy also has a degree in Science (Physics) from The University of Melbourne. Seeing the world through a pilot's and a scientist's eyes, however, has not prevented him from often standing agape (his words) at the extraordinary, the beautiful, and the seemingly perfect design of the planet. Now retired from flying, he and his wife Jo-anne share their time between homes on Norfolk Island and Melbourne, where their five children, and growing numbers of grandchildren, live, work, grow and play. Guy and Jo-anne's time in Norfolk Island has also reignited his long-standing passion for writing. Guy will happily tell you that he is a better writer when 'on island'. Inspired by this remote South Pacific Island, its astonishing natural beauty, and its timeless story, Guy has named his independent publishing company 'Tiny Fish Publishing'.
