Nick Gallent is professor of housing and planning and head of the Bartlett School of Planning at University College London. He is coauthor of The Rural Housing Question: Community and Planning in Britain's Countrysides and Neighbourhood Planning: Communities, Networks and Governance, both published by Policy Press. Daniela Ciaffi is professor of urban sociology in the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Palermo.
