The book discussed teacher utilization of community resources and effective teaching of social studies students in Delta State. The main purpose of writing the book was to ascertain how the utilization of community resources such as art galleries, museum galleries, traditional institutions, banking institutions, industries and plenary sessions in state house of assembly (legislative arm of government), can influence the teaching of social studies effectively. Ex-post facto research design was adopted using descriptive survey method. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled "Teacher Utilization of Community Resources and Effective Teaching of Social Studies Questionnaire (TUCRETSSQ)." The findings in the book suggested that school administrators should encourage social studies teachers to use community resources, since it has a positive and effective influence on the teaching of social studies.
