It is my research work completed in post graduation. Due to environmental risk and human health hazards, pesticides use is no longer permissible. So, biological management of crop pests is cheap and eco-friendly method of crop pest management. As well as study of residual effect of chemicals is a new challenge. Some species of various microorganisms like fungi, bacteria, virus etc. are used as bio-control agents from which Trichoderma fungi are popular bio-control agents. Trichoderma is a soil borne fungus controls the soil borne plant diseases. Trichoderma spp. easy to isolate and grow rapidly on many substrates and affects wide range of plant pathogens and also compatible with some agrochemicals. The combined use of bio-control agents and pesticides has attracted much attention in successful crop production to combat the pest. The success of biocontrol agents is dependent on its compatibility with other disease management system. The compatibility of Trichoderma to pesticides needs confirmation before its use in integrated management system. The object of my work is to check the compatibility of T. viride against some common pesticides (insecticides and fungicides).
