Al Kramer has had a distinguished political and judicial career as an attorney, a City Councilor, a Member of the Mass. House of Representatives, a Chief Policy Advisor to the Governor of Massachusetts, a District Court Presiding Judge for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Adjunct Professor in Criminal Justice at Brandeis University's Florence Heller Graduate School and a national and international lecturer on Criminal Justice. Selected by Boston Magazine as the most outstanding District Court Judge in Massachusetts and the recipient of the Harold DeWolf Award "to the person who has made the most significant contribution to the cause of Justice in America." His innovative programs have been featured on Sixty Minutes on two separate segments: its innovative first in the nation Victim Restitution Program (moderated by Dan Rather) and its model Domestic Abuse Program that was the stimulus for the Violence Against Women Act (moderated by Ed Bradley). Judge Kramer has published numerous articles and Op-Ed pieces regarding court reform.
