Le Dr Upasana Panda (B.1991) a étudié à l'école St. Vincent's Convent et au Khallikote College de Berhampur. Elle a obtenu son diplôme de médecine dentaire à l'Institut des sciences dentaires de l'Université Siksha 'O'Anusandhan (hôpital Sum) de Bhubaneshwar en 2014. Elle poursuit actuellement son master en prosthodontie dans le même institut. Le présent travail est le résultat de ses recherches dans le cadre de son master.
