Materials and methods: This is a descriptive, observational, retrospective and cross-sectional study to determine the complications of neonatal abstinence syndrome in children of mothers who use 'H' admitted to the Hospital General Guasmo Sur (2021 - 2023). Discussion: The aim of this study was to determine the most common complications in neonates with a diagnosis of neonatal abstinence syndrome admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and neonatal intermediate care (NICU), as well as to demonstrate the maternal risk factors and those complications that represent a risk factor for these neonates and their severity using scales.
