In this way, it is necessary to disseminate the results in order to contribute to the acquisition and production of new knowledge for the interested community. Therefore, the objective of this work is to present a collection of articles on themes inherent to the area of computing and mathematics applied to structural engineering with the Scilab software, presenting a total of five chapters. The authors of the chapters of this work are engineers, professors and undergraduate and graduate researchers in Civil Engineering from public and private institutions in the State of Rio de Janeiro.

Master in Mathematics Education from the University of Vassouras, Specialist in Mathematics Education and Degree in Mathematics from the University Centre of Valença.
