Graduating from Leeds College of Music with a focus on Popular Music Performance, within higher education, led to Paul achieving a PhD. Paul continues to enjoy a successful career combining performing, composing and producing with a higher-education career. He has held several senior academic posts (Universities of Leeds, Huddersfield, Liverpool, BIMM-Manchester) and as a specialist external examiner within higher education and rock and pop syllabuses. Paul is the co-founder of CONCEPT MUSIC AGENCY and co-inventor of THE PEGMATE, a tuning aid for orchestral stringed instruments.
