This work is the result of two years of research (2009 to 2011) on the choro circles that exist in Aracaju, Sergipe, and the social relationships built there. The focus of the research was to understand the relationships of rivalry and solidarity between the groups that formed what was called the city's choro circuit. Music was taken as the organizing element of this circuit, which served both as a criterion for identification and conflict between the members of the eight different groups that existed at that time.
