The aim of this book is to help surgical nursing teachers build educational games in this area. It aims to use active methodologies where the student participates actively and participatively in the construction of their learning, in accordance with the 1996 National Education Guidelines and Bases Law. In the case of surgical nursing, it is important to emphasise that the routine of these professionals is supported by very strict regulatory consensuses aimed at quality of service and patient safety. It is therefore necessary to stimulate critical thinking and decision-making skills so that these future professionals are able to practise these routines in their daily practice. It is thought that the educational game can help in this process of striving for teaching excellence in surgical patient care. The book provides a step-by-step guide to building an educational game for setting up a surgical table in digital format, which can be used as a model for building other educational games, such as board games, quizzes, puzzles and others.
