The intent of the studies in the epistle of Jude is to be able to discern between goats and sheep and to "contend for the faith" to help the goats be transformed into sheep. The herd of goats is ever increasing, while the sheep are rapidly being devoured by the wolves being allowed to enter into the church and buffet on the helpless sheep. The Epistle of Jude gives instruction to the sheep on how to doctrinally contend against the wolves and not be their lunch.
