With advances in microelectronic processes, we have smaller devices with greater computing and communication power. A Pervasive Environment contains different devices, such as sensors, actuators, electronics and mobile devices that interact with the person in a natural way by knowing the context. The diversity of devices and information in a Pervasive Environment introduces a problem of interoperability. In this work, a semantic context model is proposed to enable interoperability and provide support for the dynamism of the Pervasive Environment. The proposed model contains features of the context modelling carried out by previous work, as well as its integration with the modelling of people's preferences, privacy policies and services. It was verified that the proposed context model is adequate through its application in a Case Study through the tests carried out. It was shown that context modelling using ontologies and Semantic Web Services makes it possible to deal with complete and inconsistent information, as well as providing support for interoperability and the dynamism of the Pervasive Environment.
