It also explores contract law in the unique context of so-called hybrid jurisdictions-those that incorporate elements of both the common law and civilian traditions. Dr Claire-Michelle Smyth has an LL.B (Hons) Irish Law, LL.M (Hons) International Human Rights Law, PGCET, and a PhD from Queens University in Belfast. She has taught widely in Human Rights Law, International Law and Private Law in Griffith College Dublin, Dublin City University and Boston University (Dublin Programme) She is currently a senior lecturer in private law in the University of Brighton. She publishes widely in the areas of human rights private law.
