Creative Milieux is the first detailed examination of the urban spatial qualities that support the creative industries, industries which are seen as increasingly important to urban regeneration and economic development. Contributors explore the urban morphologies, building types and qualities of place that attract and retain creative workers and foster creative production, drawing on detailed neighbourhood case studies from North and South America, Europe, Australia, and East Asia. This book was originally published as a special issue of the Journal of Urban Design.
