He has also published a number of picture books and playful poems, as well as some amusing nonfiction books and works that defy description. His books have been selected for and won many awards, including the Mr. Christie's Book Award, the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award, the Governor General's Literary Award for French-language children's literature, the IBBY Honour List, and the White Raven Selection. He lives in Montreal, Quebec.
