Mark J. Mc Ginley, MD, was born in Drogheda, Ireland, and grew up in Armagh, Northern Ireland. His family immigrated to South Africa in 1976, where he completed his high school years and university education. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Natal majoring in Psychology and Business Administration. He has a medical degree from the University of Cape Town medical school. Mark immigrated to the United States in 1992 and has been practicing as a specialist in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine since 1998.Dr. Mc Ginley has extensive experience working with hospital administrators to build programs that benefit both physicians and patients. He created the intensivist program at Wyoming Medical Center in 2009 and served as the medical director for six years. He also established the NERD Wellness Center at WMC in 2016 and served as its first medical director.Mark currently lives in Denver, Colorado, with his wife and enjoys an active lifestyle.
