Stephen Beckerman is associate professor of anthropology at Pennsylvania State University. His studies of the Barf have been published in Current Anthropology, Human Ecology, The American Anthropologist, and many edited volumes. Paul Valentine is senior lecturer in anthropology at the University of East London, U.K. His work with the Currlpaco has been reported in Current Anthropology.
