In 2024, JAID JONES, a Baltimore native, would go on to release her first poetry book, "Curls and Souls." Through a mixture of love, pain, and strength Jaid has bought a raw and rich perspective to the literary world. Jaid and one of her triplet siblings, began taking writing seriously while they were students at the University of Florida. While at the University of Florida, she was able to grow her love for writing and poetry through participating at events hosted by the auxiliary group, Poets Inc. Jaid and her sister were able to perform at several spoken word and poetry night events while completing their undergraduate degrees. Growing up, Jaid and her siblings loved to read and went to the library once a week to check out their favorite library books.
