Imran Ahmed nasceu em Larkana, Paquistão, a 4 de agosto de 1979. Depois de terminar o liceu, obteve o BBA (Hons) e o MBA da SZABIST Karachi, Paquistão, em 2002. Trabalhou no sector bancário entre 2003 e 2012 em vários cargos no Paquistão. Mais tarde, obteve outro MBA do American College Cyprus, juntamente com uma tese de dissertação sobre o sector bancário no Paquistão.
