Matt Ryland was born in Ohio, but after spending a lifetime moving from one city to another-six times before he turned eleven-he considers himself a hometown orphan. He studied English and creative writing at the University of Wyoming, helping fuel his passion for great stories, and instilling a lifelong love for the Rocky Mountain West. Cypher is the first book in a planned series of action-thrillers featuring Brent Savage. When not traveling (or moving), Matt loves to hike, enjoys landscape photography, and is a self-proclaimed computer geek. Matt lives with his family in Northeast Ohio...for now.
