Daysi Silvas wrote Daisy's Wave as a dedication to her sister, Wendy, and in loving memory of their father. Daysi graduated from the University of La Verne on a full scholarship and uses her own life journey, which included time in foster care from the age of seven to twenty-one, to inspire her writing. Daisy is passionate about reminding children of their worth. She created this book to remind all children that they are special, valuable, and filled with excellent qualities, such as courage and kindness. Through her story, she hopes to encourage every reader to celebrate who they are!
