Written on the pages of this book are ten lessons life has taught me about ushering your dreams into reality and courageously pursuing the life you desire. It's everything I know about opening your mind to what is possible and then moving forward boldly until your reality reflects your dreams. If you want to dream big dreams, but don't feel brave…If you have a vision to pursue, but don't know how…If you dare to own your destiny…Then read on, friends. Come daredevil dreaming with me." This is the story of a young man with a big idea who took a fledgling community theatre group and grew it into the globally respected youth arts organisation that is Harvest Rain, a thriving creative company with over 25,000 active young members. In DAREDEVIL DREAMER, Tim O'Connor shares the secret to his success and the life lessons he has learned over the last two decades as the CEO of Harvest Rain. Full of wise and witty insights, his touching, humorous and enlightening tales are a road map for anyone with a big dream. More of a manifesto than a memoir, this book is a lifeline for all those who are curious about creative thinking, pragmatic risk-taking, fearless leading and daredevil dreaming. It's the ultimate pursue-your-passion parable for all those who dare to dream.
This isn't who he is, but this is what Tim O'Connor does-and has done. Tim is a writer, coach, speaker, workshop leader, podcaster, bass player, and golf nerd. As an award-winning journalist, Tim was the national music writer for The Canadian Press news agency, freelance golf reporter for CBC Radio, and freelance golf writer. He has written four previous books including The Feeling of Greatness: The Moe Norman Story; The Ladies: 1924-1999; Devil's Pulpit: The First Decade; and he co-wrote The Single Plane Golf Swing: Play Better Golf the Moe Norman Way with Todd Graves. Tim was inducted into the Golf Ontario Hall of Fame in 2020 as the winner of the Lorne Rubenstein Media Award.
