Dave grew up on the south coast of NSW when he left school, he wasn't sure about what he wanted to do, so he worked in many different places like the steelworks, then he moved to the Southern highlands where he worked in a nursery then a timber mill. After that he moved to Queensland with some friends, where he got a job as a deckhand on a prawn trawler.This story is based on the actual adventures he had working on the prawn trawler.Later, he moved to the north coast of NSW where his three children were born. He started volunteeringas a parent volunteer at the local primary school where his children attended. After a while he was offered a part-time job as a computer coordinator / teacher's aide.He was nicked named Mr Chipz by one of the teachers, Miss O.The inspiration for writing children's stories is connected to being a father and now a grandfather and working in schools helping teachers and students. The knowledge that gave him the ability to write children's stories is connected to working with teachers and children in schools for over 20 years.He is well known and liked by many students and staff in the many schools that he has worked in .Dave hopes to continue to write and inspire young minds with his adventure stories and escapades of his life.
