Produktbeschreibung
When faith is tested and measured at pivotal moments, growth and understanding emerge. Rifling through various and complex emotions about what it means to truly believe and uphold faith can be messy and devastating, but it can also bring renewed purpose and vulnerability. In this collection of poems, Burnett both challenges and glorifies what has become of the Christian theology as well as what the future of what it means to be an authentic follower of God should be. Her collection signifies and embodies what it means to view faith through a critical, but loving, lens, as well as how scrutinizing your values and practices can restore, renew, and heal the wounds created by those who have trespassed against us. Her verses explore the intersectionality between faith, humanity, love, sacrifice, authenticity, and wholeness. For all those who wonder what else faith can hold for them amidst so much polarization and demoralization, this book invites you to choose love and introspection over judgment and temptation of controversy.
