Autorenporträt

Michael Christian Hamrick is an award winning and internationally exhibited self-taught artist, living and working in his hometown of Eufaula, Alabama.The hospital in Eufaula, Alabama stopped delivering babies a few years before he came along, so his folks drove on over to Cuthbert, Georgia and Michael was born there in July of 1989. Shortly after, they drove on back to Eufaula, where Hamrick and his 7 brothers and sisters would spend their childhood. They grew up without a TV so his mother let them paint on the floors and walls of their house, and Michael never stopped.After many years out and about exploring this wonderful world, Hamrick returned to the American South with his wife and child, where he writes, gardens, and takes painting lessons from his 4-year-old.
