Produktbeschreibung
This book presents a comprehensive overview of deep eutectic solvents (DES), emphasizing their structural features, fundamental properties, and emerging applications in green chemistry and materials science. A comparative analysis of ionic liquids and DES highlights their advantages and limitations, providing a solid framework for understanding the unique role of DES as a sustainable alternative to conventional solvents.Special attention is given to the classification of DES according to their composition and the study of key physico-chemical properties, including viscosity, ionic conductivity, electrochemical stability, and solvating ability. These characteristics determine the versatility of DES in chemical processes and their potential for industrial implementation. The monograph also examines the role of DES in polymerization processes and its application as a medium for controlled electrosynthesis. In particular, it addresses the development of multifunctional photo- and electrocatalysts of a new generation based on titanium obtained from eutectic ionic liquids, demonstrating the prospects of DES for advanced energy and environmental applications.
