It is in forums and meetings of the boards where decisions concerning how school has to be governed for maintenance of peace, justice, harmony and democratic principles in schools, are made. The study raises strong argument in favour of student's involvement in school boards by indicating that it is the right step to take as students would feel honoured and accept ownership of the decisions reached. Hence they will be less interested in engaging in ruthless actions such as strikes which often bring bitter results like vandalism, injuries, and sometimes death.

Mokone Matsepe obtained his 1st degree in 1984 at the National University of Lesotho and a Master of Education degree in 1997 at the University of Witwatersrand. He furthered his Education with the University of South Africa and obtained his doctorate in education in 2003.He is currently a Commissioner in the Ministry of Education in Lesotho.
