"This book checks all my boxes: mystery, romance, drama, archaeology, horses, and the vast desert. Well-written, suspenseful, and descriptive, I felt I was inside the story peering from behind a diaphanous curtain, my heart pounding!" -Linda M., Education Administrator Kira Fontaine comes to Arabia with only one thing in mind-to find a legendary lost river-never realizing her life is about to change forever. When she crawls from the wreckage of her plane, she finds herself stranded in a vast, unforgiving desert. Relying on her Native American ancestral knowledge and skills, and her faith, she searches for a way home. Along the way, she saves a mythical golden horse who, in turn, saves her. Her journey becomes more difficult when she discovers a hidden valley with an ancient mystery. Cast adrift in a world of treachery and murder, lust and love, Kira follows a dangerous path that leads her to two men-one who wants her dead and one who doesn't know she exists. Will she survive the dangers of the desert and find a way home? Or will she choose to remain and become one of the desert born?
Gin Coleman was born in the United States but calls no state home. A story-telling tumbleweed, she currently parks her trusty computer in Mississippi. When she's not writing, she spends an inordinate amount of time and money feeding the birds and any wild creature that ventures into her yard. A lifelong lover of most non-human lifeforms, she grew up in the Ozarks, was raised by wolves, and her favorite car is a truck. It was said that the night she was born, her family reported a green light at the window and a crop circle in the back yard. The proud mother of the Desert Born Series, Gin will soon give birth to the Lost and Found in the Lone Star State Series.
