A little over two hundred years ago rich witch, Mistress Nonnie Moss, was looking for a site upon which to build a house. She found the perfect spot on the outskirts of the pretty Lancashire village of Chipping in the Ribble Valley. It had an acre or so of land surrounded by trees, and a small lake. The place felt really magical and she fell in love with it the moment she saw it. Three storey 'Moss House' was completed towards the end of the eighteenth century but what Nonnie did not know, was that the place was a nexus of power and, in an alternative dimension, it was the site of the Palace of a Fairy Queen Called Foxglove XIV.
Autorenporträt
This tale was originally part of a considerably longer story called 'The Thief of Magic'. But two of my proof readers thought it was all rather too much and suggested I either cut it down or divide it into smaller parts. One reader also felt that there should be more to the Fairy Queen's role in the tale. After much thought, I took their advice and chose the latter option with the result that this is the second part of three called 'Desperately Seeking Magic'. It has taken a while but I hope you like the final result.
