Autorenporträt
Hendrik is an Australian author best known as one half of the creative duo "Hendrik & Estella". He writes across picture books and chapter books, but his current focus is Destination Next, a fast-moving sci-fi adventure for readers 10-14. When siblings Asher and Lila Starling are swept off course on a routine transfer, they must navigate strange worlds, cryptic tech and shifting loyalties to find their way home. Hendrik's stories blend problem-solving with warmth and humour, favouring short, propulsive chapters, clean prose and characters whose small choices matter. Set between a Central Australian spaceport and the wider unknown, Destination Next explores courage, family and the inventions that keep us human when everything else is alien.
