Ingeniero Agrónomo, Maestría y Doctorado en Edafología por la Universidad Federal de Ceará, con un período en la Universidad Estatal de California - EE.UU.. Realizó investigaciones INCTsal/CNPq como Becario Investigador en el Laboratorio de Investigación de Gestión del Agua del USDA. Trabaja en el área de química y fertilidad del suelo y oligoelementos químicos.
