As a leader in the emerging field of Digital Medicine, he has authored numerous articles and guided healthcare professionals in adopting innovative tools such as telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, digitally empowered clinical decision support systems, wearables, and artificial intelligence. Dr Cesario is dedicated to knowledge sharing and capacity building alongside his professional work. Inspired by personal and professional influences, he crafted the Digital Medicine Starter Guide as a hands-on resource to empower healthcare practitioners to navigate and adopt digital tools confidently. Marco Gorini is an experienced professional at AstraZeneca Italy. As the Project Head of Digital Health and Innovation, he has led multiple initiatives at the intersection of pharmaceutical research, patient engagement, and digital innovation. With over a decade of experience in clinical development and healthcare strategy, he has become a prominent advocate for leveraging technology to enhance patient outcomes and streamline pharmaceutical processes. Throughout his career, Marco has been a key figure in bridging the gap between emerging digital solutions and real-world clinical applications. He fosters collaboration with healthcare organisations, start-ups, and policymakers to ensure that innovative ideas translate into impactful treatments. Passionate about patient-centred care, he has championed the adoption of predictive analytics, telehealth, and data-driven decision-making in pharmaceutical projects, paving the way for more personalised and efficient therapies. He believes that the future of medicine hinges on cross-functional expertise and open dialogue. Domenico D’Amario is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Università del Piemonte Orientale and Head of the Intensive Care Unit at AOU Maggiore della Carità in Novara, Italy. His areas of expertise encompass advanced heart failure management, interventional cardiology, and translational cardiovascular research. With a strong background in clinical and academic medicine, Prof D’Amario has contributed extensively to the understanding of coronary artery disease, heart failure, and innovative cardiovascular treatments. His research interests include the development of novel medical devices and digital tools to improve cardiovascular care. He has served as a principal investigator in European-funded research projects focused on digital health, interoperability, and real-world data applications in cardiology. Prof D’Amario is a member of the Editorial Board of several international journals and serves as Associate Editor for the European Heart Journal. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and Fellow of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology (FHFA). He is a recognised leader in digital health initiatives within cardiology, contributing to societal international committees focused on digital medicine and the application of artificial intelligence in heart failure. Aside from his academic and clinical responsibilities, Prof D’Amario is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary collaborations that link medicine, technology, and patient care.
