M.A. Gopalan est actuellement professeur de mathématiques au Shrimathi Indira Gandhi College, Thriuchirappalli, et enseigne les mathématiques depuis près de vingt ans. Il s'intéresse à la résolution de problèmes dans le domaine des équations diophantiennes et des modèles de nombres. Il fait partie des comités de rédaction de l'IJPMS et de l'IJAR et est membre à vie de l'Association de mathématiques du Kerala.
