The research documented in this book aimed to investigate the constraints suffered by Passengers with Special Assistance Needs (PNAE) who use the services provided by airport operators and airlines. This work aims to report on the information acquired through a literature review and the application of an online questionnaire, which resulted in quantitative and qualitative data that made it possible to obtain various considerations about the real problems faced by these passengers and the aspects they prioritise most in situations such as boarding and disembarking. In addition, we have tried to introduce readers to the tools that guided the whole process, as well as defining terms commonly used in the field and within the study conducted by the authors. Happy reading!
