This is an extremely powerful story of a young immigrant, chronicling his journey from his early days arriving in America, falling in love with football, going through primary school, junior college, college, and ultimately to law school. His early trials and tribulations prepared him for a life of humility, and through God, he came to realize life's greater purpose: helping others. The author weaves us through how he became conscious and the overwhelming benefits of consciousness. Once awakened, the author could see things that he couldn't see before-he took the red pill.

The author grew up in Haiti and migrated to the United States at the age of twelve. He fell in love with football at thirteen. During his maturation, his self-identity crystallized as an athlete, which earned him a scholarship to the University of Wyoming. However, he eventually flunked out, leading to a lot of self-doubt and fear. The author had to overcome many adversities, and this book is his story of how to rise above them. He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Florida International University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the author was suspended from practicing law by the State of Florida and went through a period of depression. After years away from school and not allowing himself to be defeated by life, he enrolled at St. Thomas University in Miami, pursuing a different career in educational leadership. The author eventually earned a master's degree from St. Thomas University and is now finishing his PhD there. He was successfully admitted to practice law in Florida and Minnesota but was eventually disbarred from both states. DB2 is the story of the author's journey and how he consciously overcame the adversities that one is certain to face in life.
