Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso il programma post-laurea in Scienze sociali dell'Università federale di Campina Grande (2017). Ha conseguito un master in antropologia presso l'Università federale di Pernambuco (2004) e una laurea in scienze sociali presso l'Università federale di Paraíba (2001). Attualmente è professore ordinario T-40 DE presso l'Università statale di Paraíba.
