Divining Your Life: Candle Readings With the Flame of Vesta If reading Debra May Macleod's historical fiction novels on the Vestals of ancient Rome inspired you to light a candle, or if you've always felt an instinctual reverence when looking into a flame, this unique and spirited nonfiction offering will appeal to you. Since the dawn of civilization, humankind has turned to divination-from ancient oracles to modern astrologers-to glean the answers to life's most pressing questions, from relationships and relocating to career and success. In Divining Your Life, the author blends ancient divination practices with modern sensibilities to forge an intelligent method of candle reading, one done by the sacred flame of the goddess Vesta. In fact, Debra's unique method is largely based on what she learned and surmised while researching her book series on the Vestal Virgins, those priestesses who tended the goddess's eternal fire in the temple. By learning to read the flame, vapor and wax formations of a candle-and by tapping into and trusting your own intuition as you do-you can gain powerful insight into your own past and present, and find enlightenment on what path to choose to have the future you want. So whether you are hoping to find meaningful answers to life's big questions, or you just want to have a little fun with friends, this fiery book is for you.
